Back in 1927, Giuseppe and Giacomo Minaglia began making Artisan pasta from a picturesque valley nestled amongst the Appennine mountains, in the Antola National Park. Just inland from the port of Genoa on the Ligurian Coast, Northern Italy, it is an area famous the world over for it’s delicious local cuisine; from Genoese Pesto sauce, to Minestrone Soup and of course, the myriad of pasta dishes using the rich assortment of wild herbs and seafood that the region has to offer.
45 years on, The Minaglia brothers, Paolo and Francesco from their family-run, Artisan Pasta Company “Pastificio Artigianale Alta Valle Scrivia” continue the tradition, dedicating their life to maintaining and promoting the culinary heritage of their homeland through the production of high quality, artisan, bronze-extruded dried pasta.
